Background

I finished my bachelor in Department of Psychology, Faculty of Letters, Kyoto University, Japan. My undergraduate thesis focused on the age categorization ability in capuchin monkeys. For my Master and PhD, I’ve been studying in the section of Language and Intelligence in Primate Research Institute, Kyoto University. Here I have been studying how humans and apes (chimpanzees and bonobos) recognize adults and infants using eye-tracking, touch panel tasks, and behavioral tasks.
